ASP MapService™ is a simple and valuable service for presenting information on a map. The map is a natural interface in the contemporary technological advancements and more and more people understand the advantage of the map as a carrier of information. To keep up with the pace of this demands there have to exist simple, fast and accessible solutions.

ASP MapService™ makes it possible for any client to request a high quality map image from our server. The map is then easily integrated into your own available information system. Your system could be of any character such as web pages, computer software, portable equipment or devices etc.

The technique of the services is adaptable to conventional standards, which means that it simplifies the integration of the service into all kinds of available systems. A map is transferred from our server to a client trough HTTP and XML. This means that the communication is very open and thus possible between most of clients and the server.

Get a flying start

SWEGIS also offer a developer kit that helps you getting started fast. It includes:
  • application that makes it easy to test you XML-requests
  • two complete JavaScript-viewers, ready for you web page
  • ActiveX component that handles the communication with our server. Delivered complete with source code (Visual Basic).
  • Advanced ASP-viewer
The package costs EUR 1400 and are delivered complete with source code. SWEGIS doesn't guarantee that the applications in the developer kit work entirely without error. Free support are given in minor errands
