Analysis Extension - Information

Analysis Extension is a very easy-to-use extension for ArcView GIS.
It includes over 25 different tools to make the analysis as efficient
as possible. The tools can be reached from three different places: the
menu, the buttonbar, and a floating button bar.
Analysis Extension features
- Buffer all kinds of shapes with many options.
- Perform overlay operations such as intersection and union.
- Edit themes by cutting, adding, or erasing parts of a theme using
features defined in another theme.
- Join several themes into one or split one theme into several.
- 3D operations such as TIN, Thiessen, and Contours.
- Simplify polygon themes by merging polygons using dissolve and eliminate.
- Calculate distance between features in one theme to features in another
theme.
- Rotate and move themes.
- Generalize and clean themes.
- Calculate weighted and geographic centers.
- Convert all four shape types (polygon, line, multipoint, and point).
- Useful zoom tools that allow you to save "zooms," configure zoom rates,
and so forth--all reached from a convenient floating dialog.
- And much more.
Batch functionality
The extension also includes the ability to embed commands into your own scripts. This feature enables you to
- Run commands with predefined parameters.
- Combine several commands (e.g., mapjoin and dissolve).
- Customize/Simplify commands to fit your needs.
